KWVA

BRIEF
Design t-shirts and stickers to celebrate their 30th anniversary, reflecting the station’s vibrant presence.
OBJECTIVES
✸ Capture the station’s presence at the University of Oregon.
✸ Highlight the station’s role in the local community.
DESIGN PROCESS
Since KWVA is the University of Oregon’s campus radio, we incorporated radios, boomboxes, turntables, vinyl records, headphones, and ducks into the design, using 70’s colors and retro vibes. I started by mood boarding and creating several rough sketches.

After completing the mood board and sketches, I compiled follow-up questions and presented my ideas to KWVA.
In the first review session, we planned logistics for stickers and t-shirts. We aimed for a versatile monochrome design for both items. We discussed ordering vinyl/holographic stickers (2-3 inches) and three different front designs for t-shirts (cassette, boombox, vinyl sleeve) on a cream shirt.
In the second review session, we confirmed two potential slogans (‘Funkin’ up your speakers since 1993′ and ‘88.1-derful’) for KWVA’s 30th anniversary. With this update, I finalized the t-shirt and sticker designs!
